Flathead Industries Thrift Store Chain
Under our work services program, Flathead Industries has three thrift stores. The "Flathead Industries Thrift Store" is located in Kalispell. The "Glacier Thrift Store" is in Columbia Falls. And the "Stumptown Thrift Store" is located In Whitefish, on Baker Avenue.
Jim Watson is our thrift stores manager. He has taken our business to many new levels. He is not afraid to take risks and holds his staff, as well as our adults with developmental disabilities, to the same work ethics he holds. As a result, ours sales have soared, our donations have increased, we have had minimal staff turnover, our adults with disabilities enjoy coming to work, and our relationship with the community has solidified.
Jim's management team consists of Brian Cannavaro, who oversees our donations, processing, and the programming as it relates to our consumers, within the Flathead Industries Thrift Store. Karin O'Connell oversees the retail portion of the FI store that takes up almost an entire city block. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm, with donations being accepted all seven days from 8am to 5pm. The main phone at the Kalispell store is 406-755-3842.
Cindy Chopper manages the Glacier Thrift Store in Columbia Falls, located on Nucleus Avenue, across the street from Smith's in a small business complex. They are open from 9am to 5pm , Monday through Saturday. Their phone number is 406-892-4849.
Marvin Fichter is the manager of Stumptown Thrift in the resort town of Whitefish. Because of limited space, Marvin and his staff specialize in high quality clothing at extremely low prices. The quality and quantity of his donations are such that he can sell the most expensive brand name items at true bargain prices. Stumptown Thrift is a hidden gem that no dedicated thriftier should miss. The store hours are Mondays 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday 9:30 to 5 pm, and Saturdays 10am to 4pm. The Phone number to reach Marvin or his staff is 406-862-5221.
